Evening falls over Victoria’s Lerderderg Gorge in a blaze of red-orange, amber and crimson.

Ancient gum trees stand in silhouette against the glowing sky as the last light settles into the folds of the gorge. There’s a beautiful stillness here — the warmth fading, colours deepening and the ancient landscape seemingly suspended in time.

In that moment, everything feels suspended: time slows, colours deepen, and the land breathes under the watch of the falling sun.
